Sandra Robbins, Mystery Writer

I’m so glad you decided to stop by my website and get to know me a little better. I hope you’ll find something of interest here and will come back to see what’s happening in my life. I promise not to talk too much about my four children and five grandchildren, but my husband and I realize how much God has blessed us.
Up until two years ago I was working as an elementary school principal, but God opened the door for me to become a full time writer. Now I can step out of bed in the mornings and head right to my computer. What a relief that now I don’t have to struggle into a pair of panty hose and dash out the door to greet teachers and children as they arrive!
I began by writing historical romances. The Enemy in the Delta, a story about the Japanese-American internment camps in Arkansas, placed second in the Barkley Sterling Contest sponsored by the Lake Country Romance Writers in New York. Other historicals include River of Dreams and Angel of the Cove.
Now I spend my days dreaming up mayhem and mystery in the lives of my characters. My mystery Pedigreed Bloodlines is the first in my Leigh Dennison series and will release from Barbour in 2008.
You might wonder why I’ve turned to mystery writing. It's the result of all those Nancy Drew books I read growing up.
I still remember how I struggled along with Nancy to solve The Mystery of the Tolling Bell or The Password to Larkspur Lane. How I longed to be old enough to drive a blue roadster like Nancy and solve the latest crime that I was sure existed somewhere in my sleepy hometown.
Today as I plot the latest mystery I'm writing, I think about Nancy and all the pleasure she's given to girls through the years. I hope I can do that for my readers. Like Nancy Drew I want to entice you to keep turning the page until wrongs have been righted and romance has blossomed in my characters’ lives.

Mystery and romance. Who could want more? It’s a deadly combination.
